180 Degrees

After feeding Elizabeth I usually put her down on her mat and let her play for a while. I set her down with her head toward the TV. This morning she has managed to turn herself 180 degrees. Yesterday she did a 360 on her mat. She is going to be an active girl!

Success! She slept in her Crib!

Elizabeth slept on her back in her crib for the first time last night. A We are so excited and so proud of her. I think the weekend really wore her out so she was exceptionally tired. She is really starting to get more control of her body so I have been worried that she would wiggle right out of her swing.

First Swim

We had a great time at the Bond house. We are so grateful for their hospitality. Brandi watched Elizabeth so we could go on a much needed date last night, and enjoyed swimming and relaxing in the sun today. Elizabeth loves her cousins.

Playing with Brooklyn

Elizabeth and I were able to visit with my old roomate Jennifer and her daughter. Brooklyn turned one in April. We had a really good visit.

Holding my head up

After posting that picture of E rolling over, I figured I better post a picture of her on her tummy, proving she really can hold her head up. So here you go.

Rolled Over...Almost

Elizabeth has been learning how to use her legs to propel her from side to side. This morning she almost turned herself onto her tummy. She still doesn't like tummy time, so it will be interesting to see how she reacts once she does roll all the way over. I think once she learns how to get her arms and head working together she will like it better. If I put her on her tummy she can lift her head up and keep it up, but for some reason when she rolls her head gets stuck.

Best Picture so Far!

Swimsuit Season

It's Swimsuit season! We are going swimming at Aunt Brandi's this weekend, so I had to make sure Elizabeth's suit fits. She still doesn't know what to think about the water during bath time, so we will see if she likes the pool.

Vinyl Letters

A friend of ours has a vinyl lettering business, so we decided to do something fun in E's room. I think it turned out really good.

Not Sleepy Anymore

I put Elizabeth in her crib after she fell asleep in my arms. I went in about 20 minutes later to check on her and she was wide awake just talking and playing. I think she is a little young to be boycotting afternoon naps....or at least I hope so!

So Big

All weekend Elizabeth has seemed so big to me. On Friday we went to the doctor because she was very congested and did not have a voice. She couldn't cry at all. It was not fun. She is much better today.

Posing in her Bumbo Chair

I took some pictures of E before church on Sunday. Here are a few.

Comfort

Elizabeth grows and develops every day. She sleeps through the night now, which is wonderful. But at the same time, it means she is growing. She loves grabbing her blanket and bringing it to her face while she is falling asleep. I don't think she will fall asleep without something in her hand. Like her dad always tells me, "gosh she is cute."

Happy Mother's Day

It has been a wonderful first Mother's Day. Elizabeth woke up bright and early at 5:30, and was all smiles. She is such a happy baby. Jeremy surpised me with a "Families are Forever" picture frame with our first family picture. I had it hung on the wall within the first 5 minutes. He is such a thoughtful and loving Dad and Husband. Elizabeth and I are both really blessed to have him in our life.

Four Generations

It was a great week spending time with my family. Elizabeth loved meeting everyone. She especially enjoyed interacting with Great Grandma Rossmiller. No one can get a smile and laugh out of Elizabeth like she can. It was a touching sight to see.

My first Plane Ride

Elizabeth went on her first airplane Monday. She did really well the entire trip from Salt Lake to Phoenix. I think I was more worked up than she was. Luckily the flight was not full, so they allowed me to bring her car seat on the plane and set it in the window seat. We had fun looking at the Grand Canyon together.

Ready for the trip home

It has been a fun week dressing Elizabeth in hats to go outside. She doesn't get to wear hats like this in Arizona.

Rub a Dub Dub

Elizabeth is in the tub. My mom found a new planter for her garden to use as a baby bath for the week. It works really good, and Elizabeth seems to like it.

Spring Flowers

My mom has tulips, daffodils, and deep purple iris all over her yard right now. The temperature outside was 45 degrees with a little wind out of the west during our photo session. It was cold. 15 minutes outside was all Elizabeth and I could muster.

Tear Drop Trailer

My parents are building a tear drop trailer to take camping, fishing, and rock hunting. My Dad is always looking for a project. It will have an aluminum covering and have a 5'x6.5' sleeping space with a little 12 volt refrigerator, water tank, utility table and food galley in the back.

Me and my Grandparents

I have had a great time visiting with my Grandparents.

It's a little cooler in Idaho than Arizona

Meeting my Aunt and Uncle

I had a good time meeting my Aunt Mary Ann and Uncle Eric.

5 States, 795 Miles

For the past two days Elizabeth, Great Grandma Rossmiller and I have been traveling from Quartzsite Arizona to Grandma and Grandpa Johnson's in McCammon Idaho. Throughout the entire 795 miles, Elizabeth never cried once. She is such a trooper!
