A Fun Package

We received a very fun package from my Aunt Lou today. She sent Elizabeth some fun books and an outfit. But best of all, she sent a fun little bag. Elizabeth loves it. She grabbed it immediately out of the box and carried it around with her all afternoon. We put her toy cell phone in it, which thrilled her even more. It's been a good day.

No Picture

I don't have a picture to share with my entry. I think this is the first time ever, but I wanted to share some new developments Elizabeth has made in the last week.

Elizabeth is getting better and better at walking. She will follow you anywhere you go. She even did a good job with her church shoes on yesterday. She doesn't wear shoes very often so they can be a challenge for her.

Elizabeth is getting so smart. When we laugh, she will force out a laugh too. I will tell her to give her baby a love, and she will walk over and kiss her doll. She knows what her blanket is and will go and retrieve it when I ask her too. And my favorite is when she brings a book to me in the chair wanting me to read her a story.

She is also become a really good eater. There is one condition at meal time though, she has to be able to put her food in her mouth herself. (She is independent like her mother.) Yesterday at dinner she had strawberry jello, mashed potatoes, and broccoli for the first time. We also discovered that pasta and strawberries are among her favorites. I gave her some cut up strawberry for the first time last week and then proceeded to enjoy my own strawberry and she got mad at me for not sharing with her.

It is fun being Elizabeth's mom and watching her grow.

There's Something on My Head

I couldn't resist posting this picture Daddy took of E while she was getting ready for bed.

Road Trip

We took a little Sunday afternoon drive to check on Grandma Olsen's new house. Elizabeth did really well in the car. We introduced Daddy to the top 30 toddler tunes...and he admitted in the end that it wasn't that bad. He especially liked Old McDonald and all the farm animal noises.

My Valentine

Elizabeth has really turned into a happy little girl. In the past couple of days she has decided walking is much better than crawling. I am sure in another week she will be running.

My Fearless Daughter

Elizabeth will climb on or in anything. It is funny, but at the same time I am always so worried that she will hurt herself.

Elizabeth loves taking the dishes out of the cabinet while I am working in the kitchen. Today I was washing a few dishes not really paying attention to what she was doing. This is how I found her.

After taking her picture I pulled her out of there and tried to distract her with something else, only to find her back in the cabinet...She is not afraid of small spaces.

Reading a book

E loves crawling into the cubbie the bottom shelf makes. I guess this was the best place she could think of to read her book. Silly Girl!

Pancake Aftermath

Elizabeth has gotten so sick of her oatmeal that I decided to make dollar size pancakes for her to try. She really liked trying something new. However, they really filled her up, so I think by the second one, she was ready to be done eating and play.
Her first bite of pancake.
